Tima Godbless: 20-year-old Nigerian sprinter clocks world's fastest time with astonishing 10.91s
Sprint sensation Tima Godbless blazed her way to the history books after clocking a world-leading and Personal Best (PB) time of 10.91s to become the fourth fastest Nigerian woman in history.
Competing at the NCAA East regionals for a spot in the quarterfinals, the Louisiana State University (LSU) sophomore standout blasted through the blocks with a perfect start, storming to the finish line in incredible form for the famous win and her first time under the sub-11s mark.

With her record-breaking 10.91s time, she becomes the joint fourth fastest female sprinter in LSU history, sixth fastest on the African all-time list, and has surpassed the qualifying time of 11.00s for the World Championships in Tokyo this summer.
Godbless also smashed her previous PB of 11.03s set in 2024 and joins Favour Ofili as the only Nigerian female sprinters under the sub-11s mark this season.
The 20-year-old will be gunning to improve on her performance in the quarterfinals on Saturday, which will guarantee her spot in the NCAA Championships next weekend.
