Lookman was officially unveiled at the Riyadh Air Metropolitan auditorium on Tuesday following his move from Italian side Atalanta.

The deal is reportedly valued at an initial €35 million, with an additional €5 million in potential add-ons, bringing the total package to €40 million.

During his presentation, the 28-year-old shared details of his initial contact with the Atletico boss, describing the interaction as reassuring.

"I spoke with him, and we had a good conversation," Lookman stated.

"It is wonderful to be able to communicate with the person you will be working with every day. So, very good."

Lookman, who will wear the number 22 shirt for the LaLiga giants, expressed his excitement about the new chapter in his career and outlined what he hopes to bring to the team.

"My game is very dynamic; it’s based a lot on speed. I aim to make a difference in those crucial moments of the game," he explained.

"It’s a great challenge to be at Atlético de Madrid. The truth is, it’s wonderful for me to be here."

The forward also acknowledged the significance of the move, adding, "It’s a great responsibility to represent my country, but it’s also a pleasure to wear the colors of such a special club as Atletico de Madrid. Being here is extremely important to me; it’s something I’m very proud of."

The transfer brings an end to a prolonged period of speculation surrounding Lookman's future, as he had been linked with a departure from the Bergamo-based club for over two seasons.

Simeone will be eager to integrate his new signing quickly as Atletico Madrid prepares for their upcoming Copa del Rey fixture against Real Betis, hoping Lookman can make an immediate impact.
