Thieves visit Rodrygo's house during Copa del Rey final

While he was playing in the Copa del Rey championship match versus Osasuna, Rodrygo Goes' residence in the La Moraleja neighborhood was broken into. 

A setback for the Brazilian, whose contribution to Real Madrid's 20th Copa del Rey victory, was crucial.

According to sources, one of the private security guards the player employed reported the incident to the police, who visited the property in Alcobendas.

Similar breaks-in were experienced by Karim Benzema and Dani Carvajal, two other Real Madrid players. 

In recent years, a number of footballers' homes in Madrid and Barcelona have been attacked, frequently when the players are away competing in games.

Casemiro, a current Manchester United midfielder who previously played for Real Madrid, as well as Isco and winger Lucas Vazquez have all had break-ins.

Then-Barcelona forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was attacked inside his home in August 2022 by a gang carrying iron bars.

The burglaries were carried out when the victims were competing for their clubs and were committed by organized groups and experts in this type of crime.

In the end, Carlo Ancelotti's team won the championship in La Cartuja thanks to two goals from Rodrygo. 

The first leg of the Champions League semi-final between Manchester City and Real Madrid will take place at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday, and Rodrygo who wears  21 will try to lead his team to another final.
