They will find new clubs — Man Utd boss Amorim claims Antony, Sancho training for 'next chapter'
Ruben Amorim has acknowledged that several players are seeking moves away from Old Trafford, as they “train for the next chapter.”
Speaking on Friday, ahead of the Red Devils' clash against Fulham, Amorim revealed that Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia, and Antony were excluded from the club’s pre-season tour to the USA, as all parties look for a viable solution.
Marcus Rashford, another notable omission, has since joined Barcelona on loan, but the remaining quartet continue to train separately from the first team.
What next for Man Utd outcasts Antony, Garnacho?
Amorim told reporters, “I know it’s not a good thing to have players in this situation, but it’s clear that they want to play in a different club. We try to arrange everything for both parts to be happy.
I imagine having training with the guys who I think are going to be the future, and then the other guys are training for the next chapter.
When the window is closed, we have to receive the players and then new life, anything can happen.”
United’s season started with a frustrating 1-0 loss to Arsenal at Old Trafford, despite dominating the game.
Amorim now hopes his squad can convert that performance into a victory against Fulham this weekend.
