Egyptian footballer Mohamed Salah has become the first player in history to win the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Player of the Year award three times in his career.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has once again etched his name into English football history after being crowned the PFA Player of the Year for the third time in his career.

The 33-year-old forward was instrumental in guiding the Reds to the Premier League title, finishing the campaign with an outstanding 29 goals and 18 assists.

This latest recognition adds to his previous PFA triumphs in 2017/18 and 2021/22, further cementing his legacy as one of the league’s modern greats.

The PFA also celebrated Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers, who was named Young Player of the Year. At just 23, Rogers produced a breakout season, scoring 8 goals and supplying 10 assists in league action. 

His performances earned him a first senior cap for England, marking a major personal milestone.

Salah was joined by three of his Liverpool teammates in the prestigious Team of the Year selection. 

Veteran defender Virgil van Dijk and midfield duo Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister all earned places, reflecting the Reds’ dominance throughout the campaign.

 Hungarian full-back MiloÅ¡ Kerkez was also included, recognized for his impressive season at AFC Bournemouth before joining Liverpool.

Title challengers Arsenal had three players making the cut. Defensive stalwarts William Saliba and Gabriel were rewarded for their consistency, while Declan Rice’s commanding midfield displays ensured his inclusion.

The team was rounded off with standout performers from across the league. Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels earned recognition for his outstanding shot-stopping, while teammate Chris Wood was selected for his contributions up front. 

Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak also made the lineup after another prolific season in front of goal.
