The GOAT — Top Ballon d'Or contender hails Messi after PSG thrashed Inter Miami
Paris Saint-Germain star Ousmane Dembélé shared a heartfelt message on social media calling Lionel Messi the best player of all time after the Club World Cup clash against Inter Miami.
PSG romp Inter Miami
The odds of Inter Miami surviving the round of 16 clash against the reigning European champions were always humongous and PSG ensured to clear all doubts by scoring early.
They went on to score three more in the first half, and despite a bright performance in the second 45 from Messi, his side failed to pull one back and were beaten 4-0, marking the end of their campaign.
Dembele did not start the game, as he had been injured. He came on in the second half, after PSG had taken their foot off the gas, and scored valuable minutes to improve his match fitness.
Qué bueno volverte a ver Leo, el mejor de todos los tiempos… Ojalá sigas haciendo historia con el @InterMiamiCF como en este Mundial de Clubes pic.twitter.com/1pJ4gLKOXP

You're the best — Dembele
After the game, Messi exchanged pleasantries with some of his old teammates in the PSG ranks and his former coach, Luis Enrique, who led the Parisians to their first-ever Champions League trophy.
His embrace with Dembele lasted the longest, and through social media, the French man showed fans he collected Messi's full ensemble—boots, shorts and shirt—and souvenir.
He also took a picture with the Argentine and captioned it with the following: "How nice to see you again, Messi, the best player of all time... I hope you continue to make history with Inter Miami as you did in the Club World Cup."
