'The champion returns' - Junelle Bromfield heaps praises on Noah Lyles in electrifying video announcing his readiness for 2025 season
World and Olympic champion Noah Lyles announced his readiness for the 2025 season in an electrifying cinematic video with his fiancée Junelle Bromfield doing the voiceover.
The clip which has captivated many fans, recorded Bromfield speak poetic words of greatness over her partner to announce his first race of the season and status as an icon.
Lyles shared the video on his Instagram page with the caption: "The Champion Returns!@nbindoorgp 2/2/25."
The six-time world champion is scheduled to make his season's debut at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix on February 2nd, where he's listed to face Tokyo 2020 and 2022 world indoor champion Marcell Jacobs.
He began his indoor season at the same meet last year, as he defeated Oblique Seville in a new Personal Best (PB) of 6.44s. He would then win the US Indoor Championships, before succumbing to Christian Coleman's supremacy at the World Indoor Championships in Glasgow, where he equaled his PB to settle for the silver medal.
His indoor performances aligned the rest of the year for the American speedster, with the icing on the cake being a deserved Olympic 100m gold medal in Paris.
Lyles will be gunning to continue his reign as the world's fastest man this year, with the aim of winning his first 60m gold medal and the World Indoor Championships in March and defending his 100m and 200m titles at the summer World Championships in Tokyo.
