'The best striker in the world' - Remo Stars coach hails Victor Osimhen after N10m donation

Remo Stars head coach Daniel Ogunmodede has declared that Super Eagles star, Victor Osimhen is the best striker in the world.

Ogunmodede declaration comes after the former Lille striker donated N10 million to the Ikeene-based side after the team's historic Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) triumph.

The former Africa Player of the Year gifted N5 million to the players and N5 million to the technical crew.

Ogunmodede conveyed his surprise and appreciation to Victor Osimhen for the N10 million donation to Remo Stars players and staff, recognising their dedication.

“I was surprised, of course. For a player of his calibre to take time out of his busy schedule and even offer financial motivation to my players is huge, the best striker in the world right now,” he stated during a radio interview with Eagle 7 Sports Radio.

Remo Stars made history by becoming the first team from the Southwest region to win the NPFL in 25 years, breaking a drought that had lasted since Julius Berger won the title in 2000.
