‘That's why they are all making noise’ - Super Eagles legend claims Arsenal can not win EPL
The Gunners have enjoyed a good start to their season, sitting top of the league table with 16 points after seven matches.
Arteta’s men sealed a 2-0 victory over West Ham before the international break to move just one point clear of Liverpool, who lost to Crystal Palace.
However, despite their form, the ex-Nigeria captain said that neither the team nor manager Mikel Arteta possess the required championship mindset.
Oliseh speaks on Arsenal’s title chances
Oliseh remains unconvinced that Arsenal are genuine title favourites. He believes the confidence shown by Arsenal and other contenders stems primarily from Manchester City's recent dip in form.
"All these teams are vying for the title because Man City is struggling. That's the only reason and that's why they are all making noise," Oliseh stated on his YouTube channel.
"That's why you can hear any other team, Arsenal, Chelsea, saying we are going to win the title. The problem with Arsenal is the fact that elephants don't give birth to crocodiles," he explained.
"Winning or the mentality of winning is something that you build. I have no beef against Arteta, but sometimes when I look at him, I ask myself this question: as a player, how many titles did he win?"
Arsenal have come close to ending their long wait for a Premier League trophy in recent years, only to be surpassed by Manchester City and Liverpool.
The club will be determined to maintain their current momentum as they seek their first league title since the legendary 'Invincibles' season of 2003/04.
