Super Eagles goalkeeper Nwabali battles Ex-Man United flop and Champions League winner for CAF Award
The Nigerian shot stopper has been a main starter for the Super Eagles since the 2023 African Cup of Nations, where he helped the team reach the finals.
He has also been involved in the team's 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying rounds, having played a role in sealing a ticket to the playoffs.
However, he has received criticism from Nigerians following his poor performance in the Super Eagles' last two qualifying games.

The Chippa goalkeeper will battle it out with the likes of Andre Onana, Edouard Mendy, Vozinha, Ahmed El Shenawy, Munir Mohamedi, Yassine Bounou, Marc Diouf, Ronwen Williams and Aymen Dahmen for the award.
The Nigerian international has now been nominated for the award for the second time in a row, with the first being in 2024.
He missed out on winning the award in 2024 to South African goalkeeper Ronwen Williams and will be hoping to clinch it this year.
