Spartans win epic flag final showdown, defend Bowl Series XI title against Warriors

The Showtime Bowl Series XI finale was nothing short of a sporting spectacle, with the Spartans clinching a nail-biting 58-53 victory over the Warriors in front of a packed Arena at the weekend.

The Warriors were worthy challengers heading into the game as they entered the final with an impressive unbeaten streak and the season's highest single-game score. 

And they lived up to the pre-match hype, at least for the first half of the match which they dominated. 

At the break, the Warriors had a commanding lead of 36-23, seemingly on track for a championship upset. But the Spartans had other plans.

In a display of champion mentality, the Spartans mounted a remarkable second-half comeback. 

Their never-die attitude and tactical brilliance turned the game on its head, ultimately securing their back-to-back title and the ₦6,000,000 grand prize.

League Commissioner Adebare Adejumo summed up the final and the season as a whole:
