Sensational Osimhen header voted among 50 best Serie A goals

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has had his stunning goal for Napoli against Monza voted among the best goals of the 2023/24 Serie A season by broadcasters DAZN.

Osimhen scored one of the best goals of the season in Napoli’s 4-2 win over Monza, as the Nigerian rose majestically to meet Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa's cross, towering above the defenders to score a breathtaking header to draw the Partenopei level in the match.

His goal against Monza was voted as the 48th best goal of the campaign as DAZN revealed number 50 to 41 of their top 50, with the rest of the list still to come.

The goal against Monza was just the latest in a string of incredible headed goals by Napoli’s Osimhen, who has made a habit of outjumping Serie A defenders to find the back of the net in spectacular fashion.

Osimhen also leapt to a height of 2.58 metres, the second highest in Serie A history to score against Spezia in the 2022/23 season, beating Cristiano Ronaldo’s mark of 2.56 metres against Sampdoria.

With DAZN continuing their showcase of top 50 goals from Serie A in the just concluded season, it is likely that Osimhen will feature again.
