Samuel Chukwueze: Milan star excited for fresh start under new boss Allegri
AC Milan’s Nigerian winger, Samuel Chukwueze, is full of enthusiasm ahead of the 2025-26 season under new boss Max Allegri.
Allegri, who took over from Portuguese manager Sergio Conceiçao in May, has led the Rossoneri through three pre-season matches during their recent Asia tour.
The team secured two wins, culminating in a dominant 9-0 victory against the Australian side Perth Glory on Thursday, with Chukwueze scoring the fourth goal.
Chukwueze shares thoughts on Milan boss Allegri
The 25-year-old winger, who joined Milan from Villarreal in 2023, is optimistic about the club’s prospects under Allegri’s leadership.
“Coach Allegri is a great coach, everyone knows that; he’s won a lot in his career. And being here now, he wants to win trophies with Milan too,” Chukwueze told Milan News, reflecting his confidence in Allegri’s trophy-winning ambitions.
Meanwhile, another Nigerian in the news, Ademola Lookman, remains keen on joining Inter Milan, despite the Italian giants having their first bid rejected.
The 27-year-old forward scored 20 goals in 41 appearances for Atalanta last season and will be an outstanding addition to Christian Chivu's side ahead of the 2025-26 season.
