Mohamed Salah has showered praise on Liverpool teammate Dominik Szoboszlai, describing the Hungarian midfielder as “one of the best players in the world right now.”
The Egyptian forward made the comments following Liverpool's emphatic 3-0 FA Cup victory over Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
What Salah said
Speaking to TNT Sports after the match, Salah highlighted the midfielder’s growing influence within the squad.
“He is one of the best players in the world right now. It’s good for everyone and I hope we can do it again,” he said
Meanwhile, Hungary national team head coach Marco Rossi has suggested that Szoboszlai may one day harbour ambitions beyond Anfield.
“Because of the very close and direct relationship I have with Dominik Szoboszlai since he started playing football as a child, Real Madrid has always been his dream,” Rossi said.
He added, “I don’t know if he’ll be able to take that step, because the decision depends on him and also on his club.”
