Sadio Mane: LALIGA club set to steal former Saint from Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr
Al Nassr and Cristiano Ronaldo could be set for life without former African Footballer of the Year Sadio Mane in the Saudi Arabia Pro League.
Pulse Sports Nigeria reports that Mane has emerged as a transfer target for Champions League-bound LALIGA outfit Girona this summer.
Sadio Mane to leave Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr?
Mane joined Al Nassr last summer following an acrimonious exit from German champions Bayern Munich.
But just a year into his initial three-year contract, the 32-year-old is reportedly eyeing a return to Europe.
According to a report by Sportskeeda, a surprise package in the just concluded La Liga, Girona, could offer the former Southampton winger a pathway back to Europe as they look to fortify their squad ahead of their Champions League debut.
Girona finished third in La Liga with 81 points to book a spot in UEFA's elite club competition and see Mane, who has netted 19 goals and assisted 11 in 44 matches for Al Nassr, as an ideal addition having won the Champions League with Liverpool.
The latest report follows Galatasaray's interest in the former AFCON winner, as reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria earlier.
The Turkish giants sealed the Super Lig title on the final day of the season, which also means they will be playing in the Champions League next season.
With options emerging for Mane to return to Europe, his time at Al Nassr and alongside Cristiano Ronaldo could be drawing to a close, as the allure of Champions League football and a fresh challenge awaits the Senegalese star.
