Ryan Ogam: Austrian Club Wolfsberger Reveals 3 Things That Make Harambee Stars Striker Tick
Harambee Stars striker Ryan Ogam has received positive reviews from his new club Wolfsberger following his signing from Tusker FC.
Ogam has finally sealed a dream move to Europe after just one season with the 13-time Kenyan champions and becomes the first Kenyan to play in the Austrian Bundesliga.
The 20-year-old earned the big move after his brilliant debut season with Tusker, which saw him score 15 goals by the halfway point of the last season, before taking it a notch higher following his impressive performance for Kenya at CHAN 2024, where he scored two goals.

Following his acquisition, Wolfsberger president Dietmar Riegler described the three key attributes that attracted them to the striker and why he believes the player will flourish in Austria.
“We are delighted to welcome Ryan Ogam to Wolfsberger AC. He is an exciting young striker with great potential, and we have followed his progress at Tusker FC with keen interest and his recent performance for his county with the National team, Harambee Stars,” Riegler said through a statement shared by Tusker FC.
Why Ogam Ticks All Boxes for Wolfsberger
“Ryan combines natural talent, discipline, hard work, and a hunger to grow, and we believe he will quickly adapt to the Austrian Bundesliga,” he added, explaining why the former Rainbow FC star was signed.
“His arrival is also a testament to the growing quality of football talent across all levels coming out of Kenya. We are confident he will make a positive impact both on and off the pitch,” Riegler further said.
Wolfsberger, who finished fourth in the 12-team league last season, are seeking improved fortunes this term with an eye on European football, having missed out on the Europa Conference League qualification last week after losing the playoff.
They have played five games in the 2025-26 campaign, winning two and losing as many, added to one draw that leaves them in sixth position with seven points, six behind leaders Rapid Vienna.
