Harambee Stars striker Ryan Ogam has broken his silence following his move to Austrian Bundesliga side Wolfsberger Athletik Club.
The Austrian side has secured Ryan Ogam from Tusker FC in a club-record deal, after his sensational African Nations Championship campaign.
Ryan Ogam was in the form of his life as he netted two decisive goals for Harambee Stars. He scored his first goal against two-time CHAN champions Morocco before adding another goal in Harambee Stars’ match against Zambia.

Ryan Ogam Speaks for the First Time After Signing with Wolfsberger
The former Tusker FC striker revealed that after signing with the club, he is aware of what is expected of him and will work around the clock to continue his winning ways.
Ryan Ogam expressed excitement following the landmark deal, but admitted that there is a lot of work to be done if he has to remain relevant.
Ogam is optimistic that this is only the beginning of a beautiful chapter, adding that he enjoyed his time at Tusker FC and playing for Harambee Stars at the African Nations Championship.
“I am really excited about the journey ahead, and I know it will not be easy. I will need to work twice or thrice harder than I did here because the expectation is definitely higher. But I am very optimistic and I am looking forward to the challenge,” Ryan Ogam told Telecom Asia.
“I have enjoyed a good season here, and hopefully I can carry on what I have been doing here to the new club. I am delighted to get this move, and I know it is going to be a very good springboard to the future.”
What Next for Ryan Ogam?
The striker is set to join his new Austrian club immediately after the international break, but first, he will be leading Kenya’s attack in crucial back-to-back World Cup qualifiers at home against Gambia and Seychelles.
Harambee Stars play against The Gambia on Friday, September 5, before locking horns with Seychelles on Tuesday, September 9.
His performances on the international stage are eagerly awaited before he makes the trip to Austria, where the league has just kicked off.
Wolfsberger have so far played five matches, recording two wins, two defeats and a draw, and the club is banking on Ryan Ogam’s arrival to inject fresh firepower into their campaign and help them climb the table.
