Ronaldo bids farewell to Pioli as Italian manager departs Al-Nassr for Fiorentina
Cristiano Ronaldo has publicly paid tribute to Stefano Pioli following the Italian manager's departure from Al-Nassr, a move widely expected to precede his appointment at Serie A club Fiorentina.
Pioli's exit from the Saudi Pro League side was confirmed on Wednesday, with the club expressing gratitude for his "dedicated work" since taking charge in September 2024.
Ronaldo appreciates Pioli
Shortly after Al-Nassr's official announcement, Ronaldo took to his social media channels to offer his own personal farewell.
Replying to the club's post, the Portuguese superstar simply wrote, "thanks for everything 🙏," a clear indication of his high regard for Pioli's contributions during his tenure.
Ronaldo under Pioli
Under Pioli's leadership in the 2024-25 season, Cristiano Ronaldo enjoyed a prolific spell, scoring 31 goals in 36 matches across all competitions.
However, despite Ronaldo's impressive individual performance, Al-Nassr finished third in the Saudi Pro League with 70 points, falling short of securing the title that went to Al-Ittihad.
They also failed to win any other silverware, including the King's Cup and the AFC Champions League.
