Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly close to completing the process of a contract renewal at Al Nassr, with reports of a possible one or two-year deal being discussed.

The 40-year-old joined the Faris Najd in January 2023, a watershed moment for the current wave of high-profile European football stars moving to the Gulf.

It seemed that the road was coming to an end after his "this chapter is over" message following the end of the season. However, he later confirmed that he would remain at Al Nassr, and per reports, they are about to reach an agreement on an extension.

Ronaldo to sign new contract

After winning the Nations League trophy with Portugal, Ronaldo put the minds of Al Nassr fans at rest when he confirmed that he would not sign for a team playing in the Club World Cup, hinting that he wanted to continue with the Faris Najd.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the talks for a renewal have now reached an advanced stage, and the formal documents are being evaluated. He is expected to extend for one or two years, depending on how long Ronaldo wants, as Al Nassr are intent on keeping him.
