Ronaldo bags 2 goals in Champions League: outshines Coutinho as Al Nassr defeats Al Duhail

Portuguese football icon Cristiano Ronaldo is back on the social media trends.

The 38-year-old continues to show his class in the latter stages of his career

Ronaldo returned to action as Al Nassr defeated Al Duhail 4-3 in an AFC Champions League fixture played on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.

In an uneventful first half, Ronaldo turned provider for Anderson Talisca to score the first goal of the game in the 25th minute.

Al Nassr took a narrow lead to the halftime break and increased their advantage through Sadio Mane in the 56th minute.

In the 61st minute, Sultan Al Ghannam provided the third for Ronaldo.

Al Duhail pulled one back in the 63rd minute through Ismaeel Mohammad.

Almoez Ali latched on to a ball by Phillipe Coutinho in the 67th minute to give the Qatari side a lifeline.

In the 81st minute, Al Ghannam again turned provider to give Al Nassr a two goal cushion.

However, Al Duhail scored their third of the game as Ali found Michael Olunga in the 85th minute.

Al Nassr would however hold on to claim three points and stay top of their Champions League group.
