Revealed: Bruno Labbadia set to miss Super Eagles AFCON qualifiers despite NFF announcement
Newly appointed Super Eagles coach Bruno Labbadia might not be in the dugout for the Super Eagles in their upcoming games in September.
Despite announcing Labbadia's appointment on Tuesday, the NFF has yet to finalise a formal contract with the German tactician according to report.
If the contract agreement is not signed early, the German tactician could miss the two 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Benin Republic on Saturday, September 7th, in Uyo and Rwanda on Tuesday, September 10th, in Kigali.
However, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is currently negotiating contractual terms with the newly appointed Super Eagles head coach, Bruno Labbadia.
According to BBC reporter Shina Okeleji, the NFF is working tirelessly to conclude the contractual details by Friday, allowing Labbadia to travel to Uyo and take charge of the Super Eagles upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.

The NFF's announcement of Labbadia's appointment without first securing a contract has raised concerns among football fans and media alike. However, the federation is reportedly confident of reaching a mutual agreement with the former Bayern Munich striker.
Labbadia, a seasoned coach with experience in the Bundesliga, is expected to bring a fresh perspective and tactical expertise to the Super Eagles.
His appointment comes at a crucial time for Nigeria, as the team aims to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and build on their recent successes.
Recall that this is not the first time, NFF will be announcing a coach without signing any agreement with the individual.
