Napoli are reportedly advancing in talks for Darwin Nunez, as they are keen on making the Liverpool man their new striker for next season. The story comes about after reports that they failed in their attempt to convince Victor Osimhen to return to the fold.

Liverpool are amenable to selling, according to reports, and Napoli are his biggest admirer on the market. According to Fabrizio Romano, they are still negotiating with Liverpool but are still some way from meeting the Reds' demands.

Alternatively, they have lined up the signing of Udinese striker Lorenzo Lucca, who scored 12 goals in Serie A last season, two shy of Napoli's current top scorer, Romelu Lukaku.
