The tug-of-war for Victor Osimhen is apparently not over yet as Saudi giants Al Hilal have re-entered the race with a revised offer that may complicate Galatasaray's hopes of securing the Nigerian striker permanently.

With Napoli still holding out for their preferred payment plan, the Saudi Pro League side have reportedly submitted a new proposal that could tilt the scales in their favour.

Galatasaray, who enjoyed Osimhen’s sensational goal-scoring form during the 2024-25 season, have been eager to make the loan spell permanent.

Where will Victor Osimhen end up this summer?

The Nigerian striker bagged 37 goals in all competitions, becoming a cult hero in Istanbul. However, despite agreeing to meet Napoli’s €75 million price tag, the Turkish champions’ proposed payment structure, €40 million upfront and €35 million in staggered installments, has caused a delay in finalising the deal.

Napoli, keen on settling their accounts promptly, are only open to a two-installment payment scheme and have not softened their stance.

The breakdown in negotiations over structure, rather than amount, has created the perfect opening for another bidder to swoop in.

Al Hilal return with strategic bid to test Osimhen’s resolve

Having been rejected earlier in the summer despite offering Osimhen a mouthwatering €30 million-per-season salary, Al Hilal are back with a more strategic bid.

Reports claim the new offer matches Napoli’s €75 million valuation exactly and crucially meets the club’s demand for a two-installment payout, with €37.5 million in each tranche.

While Osimhen had previously turned down Al Hilal’s salary package, the updated financial structure could test Napoli’s resolve, especially with Galatasaray still unable to meet the Italian club’s terms. As things stand, the transfer saga looks far from over.
