Reece James: Chelsea star out for the year as Blues pledge 'emotional and mental' support
Reece James is reportedly out of action until 2025 after scans revealed the extent of his latest hamstring problem.
While Chelsea are yet to confirm the official period of his absence, he is expected to be out until at least the new year.
This latest setback is a significant blow for James, who has struggled with injuries since being named Chelsea captain last season.

The 24-year-old has made just four appearances in the league this season, with Malo Gusto establishing himself as the preferred choice, and Wesley Fofana's performance at right-back in the 2-1 win over Leicester City may have given head coach Enzo Maresca a temporary alternative.
According to reports, Chelsea will provide James with the best possible rehabilitation program and support him through the mental battle that comes with repeated injuries.
The club is aware of the importance of not rushing James back and will avoid putting pressure on him to return before he's fully fit.
Chelsea are in action against Aston Villa on Sunday.
