Real Madrid have made a decision about re-signing Nico Paz from Como, having sold the 20-year-old 12 months ago.

The young talent was initially sold to the Serie A side managed by Cesc Fabregas last summer for €6 million under a complex agreement.

The deal included clauses allowing Real Madrid to re-sign him for €9 million in 2026 or €10 million in 2027.

Real Madrid opt against Paz buy-back

According to multiple reports, Los Blancos have decided not to activate their €8 million buy-back option for Paz this summer, despite having until July 15 due to a Club World Cup extension.

Several reports suggest that through a gentleman's agreement, the Spanish giants have informed Como that Paz will remain with them for the upcoming season.

The club’s decision was influenced by Real’s recent investment in Francesco Mastantuono.

However, those reports suggest that should Como sell Paz before Real Madrid's buy-back option can be exercised, half of the transfer fee will go to the Spanish club.
