Real Madrid won't make top 7 in Premier League — Arsenal legend, Rooney, Shearer predict Los Blancos best finish
Former Arsenal forward Theo Walcott has speculated that Real Madrid could not finish top seven in the Premier League, stating that they would struggle in away fixtures against sides in the English top flight.
Los Blancos are the most revered side in Europe’s top five leagues, having won the most LALIGA (36) and Champions League (15) titles. However, they finished trophyless last season, and their performances this season have seen them lose some lustre.
They have been knocked out of the Copa del Rey by lowly Albacete, did not make automatic qualification for the Champions League group stage, and only recently reclaimed first position from the Blaugrana on the LALIGA table.
What Walcott said
Real Madrid’s performance in the Champions League this season has not inspired confidence. Hence, during Prime’s coverage of the playoffs, three Premier League legends – Wayne Rooney, Alan Shearer and Walcott – stated that Los Merengues could not win the English top flight.

Both Rooney and Shearer believe that Real Madrid will finish inside the top four, but factors like the difficulty of the Premier League relative to LALIGA and the complicated nature of away fixtures will prevent them from winning the competition.
Walcott, on the other hand, believes there are teams more equipped than Real Madrid in the Premier League, at least seven of them, stating that 8th was the best they could do.
