Real Madrid forward Endrick has reportedly opened the door to a loan exit from the club during the January transfer window, with Ligue 1 side Lyon keen on landing him.

Endrick joined Real Madrid officially in July 2024 after Los Blancos and Palmeiras agreed on the transfer in December 2022. He signed a six-year deal and was unveiled at the Bernabéu in July 2024.

He made an immediate splash on his LaLiga debut, coming off the bench against Real Valladolid and scoring, but the early hype did not translate into regular starts.

Endrick has thirsted for game time this season, with Kylian Mbappe's presence and the emergence of Gonzalo Garcia relegating him to third-choice striker.

According to Fabrizio Romano, he wants to leave the club in January for regular game time, with his sights set on a team in Europe's top five leagues and the Champions League.

Lyon are interested in his talents and are said to have begun talks with Real Madrid and presented their plans to Endrick. The 19-year-old is said to be pleased with Lyon’s proposal and will assess all options within the next month.

Across the 2024/25 campaign, Endrick was used frequently as a substitute but logged very limited minutes overall.

According to Transfermarkt, he managed only three starts in 22 LaLiga appearances for Real Madrid last season, totalling a paltry 352 minutes (mostly from the bench), plus 9 Champions League appearances (135 minutes) and 6 Copa del Rey appearances (360 minutes), a combined 37 appearances and 847 minutes across competitions in 2024/25.

His fortunes have not changed this season. They have worsened even further, as he has not managed a single appearance in the league or Champions League this campaign, either.
