Nigerian football coach Ayere Sylvester has been awarded a one-year contract extension with Real Madrid World following an impressive first year with the global football organisation.

The extension recognises Sylvester’s contributions as an assistant manager and coach based in Dubai, where he has been deeply involved in leading international programs and overseeing the development of thousands of young footballers from around the world.

What Sylvester said

Expressing his delight at the new deal, Sylvester described the extension as a clear validation of his work and commitment within one of football’s most prestigious brands.

“I feel great. The contract extension is proof of competency, dedication, and commitment,” Sylvester said.

He added, “It’s a show of how much impact I’ve made in the last year and the recognition it has brought.”

During his initial contract period, Sylvester played a central role in shaping Real Madrid World's operational and training framework.

He was instrumental in designing the coaching structure currently used across the brand’s programs and helped organise training sessions for more than 5,000 players of various nationalities.

His responsibilities also extended to the Real Madrid Legends initiative, where he participated in exclusive one-on-one sessions with former stars of the club, including iconic left-back and three-time UEFA Champions League winner Roberto Carlos.

A UEFA B and FA Level 3 licensed coach, Sylvester’s international coaching journey began in Dubai with Fleetwood United FC.

At the club, he served as assistant coach of the second-division senior team while also managing the U-15 side and the U-23 pathway squad.

His tenure proved highly successful, as Fleetwood United clinched the Division Two title and earned promotion.

Now firmly established in Dubai, Sylvester’s coaching career began in Nigeria, where he held head coach roles at Freiburgerweg FA, Oasis Ladies, and Raineiri Ladies.

He also worked as head of opposition analysis for Gbagada FC in Nigeria’s third division.
