Rasmus Hojlund to follow in footsteps of Manchester United legends with new number
Rasmus Hojlund is set to take on a new challenge at Manchester United, switching from the number 11 to the iconic number 9 jersey.
The Danish forward was initially handed the number 11 shirt upon his arrival from Atalanta last summer, but with Anthony Martial's departure at the end of last season, the number 9 shirt has become available.

However, Hojlund would be wise to draw inspiration from United's rich history of legendary number 9s, such as Sir Bobby Charlton, Andy Cole, Dimitar Berbatov, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, rather than Martial.
Martial's tenure in the number 9 shirt was underwhelming, and Hojlund will be keen to go down a different path as United's main goal threat.
Meanwhile, the vacant number 11 shirt could be poised for new signing Joshua Zirkzee, who has previously worn numbers 9, 10, and 11 during his time with Dutch youth teams.
The former Bologna man could play alongside Hojlund or as an alternative to the Danish forward.
Erik ten Hag now has two high-quality strikers as the Red Devils look to compete on all fronts next season.
