Ramadhan Karim to Mbarara City as Kitara, Nec start countdown
Ramadhan Karim scored a lone goal on a befitting eve of Eid Al Fitr to ensure Mbarara City keep tabs with Kitara and Nec in the StarTimes FUFA Big League as they dispatched Luweero United by 1-0.
The Ankole Lions are third with 48 points, opening a four-point gap with Police in fourth.
Kitara survive
Kitara survived a scare to grab a late victory against Kyetume in Nakisunga through Edson Agondeze, who banged in from a Moses Sseruyidde freekick with the last kick of the game.
George Senkaaba had given the visitors the lead through a 17th-minute penalty but it was cancelled by Emmanuel Kalyoowa minutes later.
The match was interrupted by rowdy home fans who caused violence after AGondeze’s winner in the last minute of the five minutes added.

Nec tagging along
The win took Kitara to 51 points, one ahead of Nec who edged a stubborn Booma 2-0 in Bugolobi.
Richard Ajuna scored a stunner in the 18th minute and then turned the architect at the beginning of second half to mastermind Tonny Kiberu’s goal.
Nec made good use of their home advantage to control from the onset and could have scored more but Austine Opoka was stubborn in the visitor’s goal.
Ajuna grabbed his chance in the 17th minute with a powerful belter that beat Opoka. He then provided a good cross from the left immediately after the break. Captain Marvin Kavuma controlled and fired; Opoka expertly blocked it but spilt it in Kiberu’s path who banged it in with the defenders left spectating.
