PSG star Kvaratskhelia, some Napoli players react to Osimhen's Turkey move
Kvaratskhelia and other Napoli players have responded to Victor Osimhen's move to Turkey.
The reactions came after Victor Osimhen officially transferred to Galatasaray from Napoli for a record €75m, ending a successful stint in Italy.
After a sensational loan spell with Galatasaray in 2024-25, where he scored 37 goals in 41 matches and helped them secure domestic silverware and reestablish themselves in Europe, the Turkish club made the move permanent.
The 25-year-old striker, who expressed his gratitude to Napoli on Instagram with "Grazie per tutto," leaves as a club legend.
He played an important role in Napoli’s historic 2022-23 Serie A title, their first in 33 years, and won the Capocannoniere award that season.
Emotional reactions from former teammates
Osimhen’s farewell post drew warm responses from former teammates and fans alike.
PSG and former Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia replied in the comments, calling the striker “a legend.”
Napoli defender Juan Jesus added, “You are part of the story. I always wish you the best. God bless you and good luck.”
In four seasons at Napoli (2020–2024), Osimhen scored 76 goals in 133 appearances.
Osimhen receives a welcome fit for a king
Osimhen's arrival in Istanbul erased any doubts about his importance to Galatasaray, as over 10,000 fans greeted him at the airport, breaking club records.
The electric atmosphere included waving flags and echoing songs, with Galatasaray live-streaming his flight to further fuel the excitement.
Fans showed their appreciation for his performance, and club president Dursun Ozbek hailed the moment as "historic," announcing a lavish ceremony at RAMS Park.
