People have written us off — Super Eagles boss Chelle determined to land World Cup ticket
Eric Chelle insists the Super Eagles are still confident of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup and believes they will surprise a lot of people in their remaining qualifying games.
Chelle has managed only two of the team's six qualifiers so far, securing a 2-0 victory against Rwanda and a 1-1 draw with Zimbabwe.
His predecessors, Jose Peseiro and Finidi George, each handled two games without a win.
Despite the challenging circumstances, Chelle is confident the team can turn its fortunes around.

Speaking to UK-based journalist Osasu Obayiuwana, Chelle said, "People have already written us off. But I am not bothered by that.
"I am concentrating on preparing my players for the remaining four matches that we have.
"I think that we are going to surprise a lot of people.”
The Super Eagles are currently in Uyo, gearing up for their crucial World Cup qualifier against Rwanda this weekend, as they fight to keep their dream of reaching the tournament in the USA, Canada, and Mexico alive.
