French giants Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly set to trigger Ousmane Dembele's release clause at Barcelona, believed to be €50m.
PSG ready to snatch Dembele from Barcelona
The Ligue 1 champions are currently embroiled in a standoff with star player Kylian Mbappe, with letters being exchanged by both parties.
Mbappe wants to play out the season in Paris before leaving, reportedly for Real Madrid, and PSG insist he must sign a new deal or leave this summer.
The Parisians even left him behind as they went on their summer tour of Japan. A move believed to have further outlined their intention to proceed without him.
Now, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, it appears they are making swift plans for life without their talisman by planning to bring Dembele to Parc Des Princes.
The Ligue 1 champions are moving swiftly to sign the French international as quickly as possible before the release clause jumps to €100m after July 31.
Dembele struggled with injuries last season but still contributed 8 goals and 9 assists in 35 appearances for Barcelona.
