Victor Osimhen started for Galatasaray, looking to build on his recent goal-scoring form. The home side began strongly and were rewarded with the opening goal, courtesy of Lucas Torreira's well-taken strike.

Galatasaray maintained their momentum into the second half, doubling their lead with a precise header from Davison Sanchez off a corner kick.
