Napoli's talisman, Victor Osimhen, is back with magic after a spell on the sidelines due to injury. The Super Eagles star came off the bench to assist the Partenopei's winning goal after his compatriot Ademola Lookman had handed Atalanta an equaliser.

With a new face in the dugouts, Walter Mazzarri, the Naples-based side travelled to Bergamo to face Gian Pierro Gasperini's men at the Gewiss Stadium.

This fixture has favoured the visitors in recent history, and Napoli continued that run of wins after Osimhen's assist for Eljif Elmas goal to make it four consecutive victories over La Dea.

The match took a while to burst into life, with both teams sizing themselves up, but it soon became an end-to-end affair.

Napoli got the ball at the back of the net in the 38th minute of the game, but it was ruled off for offside. A few minutes later, however, Khivcha Kvaratskhelia rose high to head the ball into the net to put Napoli ahead.

Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman restored parity in the 52nd minute, rising highest to direct Hans Hateboer’s cross past Pierluigi Gollini and into the net.

Mazzarri brought on Osimhen and Elmas in the 63rd minute in an attempt to win the game, and the duo combined as hoped to give the Partenopei the winner.
