‘Osimhen has unlocked his prime mode’ - Turkish pundit claims Super Eagles star is having his best season
Osimhen enjoyed a phenomenal loan spell at Galatasaray last season, netting an impressive 37 goals and providing eight assists in 41 appearances.
His contributions were vital as the Istanbul-based club secured a domestic double, leading to the Turkish giant finalising his move.
The striker's prolific form saw him shatter a long-standing record of 34 goals, held by Mario Jardel, becoming the highest-scoring foreign player in a single Turkish football season.
Osimhen is in his prime, claim Yigit
Yigit observed that Osimhen has reached a new level of performance and maturity this year with Galatasaray.
"Osimhen has unlocked his updated prime mode. When the season is over, everyone will probably say, 'This was Osimhen's best season yet.'" Yigit told Habersarikirmizi.
"He's mentally very focused, physically very strong, and completely focused on helping his club succeed internationally. And let's not forget he's also preparing for Nigeria," he added.
Osimhen has continued his excellent run into the new season, already scoring five goals in eight matches across all competitions.
He has also started setting new records, becoming the first Galatasaray player to score in seven consecutive European fixtures after his double against Bodø/Glimt.
Osimhen made club history by scoring Galatasaray's fastest-ever UEFA Champions League goal, finding the net just two minutes and 53 seconds into the match at Rams Park.
