‘More is paid for players of this type' - Galatasaray manager claims Osimhen is worth more than €100 million
Osimhen was the standout player in Galatasaray's 3-1 victory over Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt on Wednesday.
The Super Eagles star scored two crucial goals in the game to help the Lions seal their second win in the competition.
Following his two goals, he became the first Galatasaray player to score in seven consecutive European matches since Burak Yılmaz achieved the feat in 2013.
Buruk hails Osimhen
Speaking after the match, Buruk, a former Inter Milan midfielder, praised Osimhen's all-around contribution and insisted his market value has skyrocketed since he arrived from Napoli.
"Alongside his goalscoring prowess, Osimhen is an important team player, an elite player," Buruk stated, as reported by Son Dakika Haberleri.
"We had said that we could discuss €75 million being low at the start of the season. In Europe, €100 million or more is paid for players of this type."
This season, the Nigerian international has scored five goals in all competitions for Galatasaray as he continues his scoring spree from last season.
With Osimhen in scintillating form, Galatasaray will be hopeful he can continue to deliver and guide them deeper into Europe's premier club competition.
