Ola Aina fails to impress as Nottingham Forest get pounded at City Ground

Nuno Espírito, who is currently on the verge of leaving the club after a disagreement with the club owners, failed to rally his team to their second win of the season.

They were beaten at home for the first time this season after collapsing in the last 10 minutes of the game to concede a 3-0 loss to West Ham.

Nottingham Forest were unchanged from their 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace last weekend. Ola Aina started at right back, while Taiwo Awoniyi failed to make the squad.

On the other hand, West Ham boss Graham Potter handed new signing Mateus Fernandes his debut after he joined from Southampton this week.

The first half of the match concluded in a goalless draw, leaving supporters disappointed by the lack of exciting play from either side. Both teams struggled to create clear-cut opportunities, resulting in a cagey affair dominated by midfield battles and defensive solidity. 

The same thing continues in the second half, until the last 10 minutes of the game, when West Ham brought the game to life.

Jarrod Bowen gave the visitors the lead in the 84th minute before Lucas Paquetá doubled the lead from the penalty spot and Callum Wilson killed Forest hopes with the third in injury time.

The game ended 3-0 with Aina feeling disappointed after failing to contribute defensively and in attack, leaving Forest with their first home loss of the season.
