NPFL leaders Rangers Int'l compound Sporting Lagos woes without Super Eagles star
In the highly anticipated NPFL clash, league leaders Rangers International were held to a goalless draw by Sporting Lagos, despite the absence of their Super Eagles defender Kenneth Igboke.
The talented left-back, who recently earned his first call-up to the Nigerian national team, was a notable absentee for the Flying Antelopes as they made the trip to Lagos on Sunday.

Rangers were still able to extend their unbeaten run, however, with this result marking two wins and one draw from their last three matches.
Although the draw saw the league leaders' advantage cut to just two points, coach Fidelis Ilechukwu was still thrilled with the performance, leading the celebrations at the final whistle in front of a packed Mobolaji Johnson Arena.
The match was attended by a host of leading entertainers, including the popular comedian Funnybone, who turned out in force to cheer on the visitors from the stands.
Despite the vocal support, neither side was able to find the breakthrough, with both teams having to settle for a share of the spoils in an explosive goalless affair.
While Sporting Lagos will be disappointed to have missed out on the chance to claim a scalp, the result does little to ease their relegation worries.
Meanwhile, Rangers will be relieved to have maintained their unbeaten run, even without the services of their in-form full-back Igboke.

The race for the NPFL title remains delicately poised, with Rangers still leading the way but Enyimba closing in after their own impressive victory over Rivers United.
