Sacked Sporting Lagos Coach Paul Offor Pens Emotional Farewell Letter To Club, Fans- We Made Magic Together
The manager, Paul Offor, led the Tech Boys from the Nigerian National League to their first-ever season in the top-flight Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL).
However, mixed results in the league, leaving the team just four points above the relegation zone with eight games remaining, ultimately led to his dismissal.
Offor writes to Sporting Lagos, fans
In the heartfelt letter, the former boss reminisced about his 15-month journey with Sporting Lagos, describing the club as feeling "like home" from the moment he arrived.
He extended his gratitude to the players and staff who welcomed him warmly.
"I owe my gratitude to the players and staff that welcomed me right from the start," he wrote on his social media account on X, formerly Twitter.
"More specifically, I want to thank all the players who worked under me from the national league to NPFL. Together, we made magic!"
The likeable manager also expressed his appreciation for the support he received from key individuals within the club, including Mr Godwin Enakhena, Coach Paul Aigbogun, Ayobami Animasahun, Yemisi Cole, and Nneoma Ukandu.
Notably, the letter highlighted the achievement of bringing Premier League football back to Lagos and transforming the city into a fortress for the team.

Offor also extended his thanks to the fans known as ‘Noisy Lagosians’ for their unwavering support, describing them as the "constant 12th-man" and praising their dedication.
"Thank you for creating a special atmosphere for us to fight for the badge," he added, addressing the fans. "I pray you get the success your humility, dedication, and investment deserves."
As the Sporting Lagos faithful come to terms with the departure of their manager, the club now faces the challenge of finding a suitable replacement to guide them through the remainder of the NPFL season and beyond.
