Noah Lyles and fiancée Junelle Bromfield publicly declare their Christian faith through baptism
Track power couple Noah Lyles and his fiancée Junelle Bromfield have publicly declared their Christian faith after getting baptized.
The star athletes shared the news on their Instagram pages, posting videos of their baptism, which has received much acclaim from their fellow athletes, fans, and media outlets globally.
“But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15," they wrote as the caption to their videos.
Lyles and Bromfield got engaged in October 2024 after over two years of dating, with their much-anticipated wedding planned for Spring 2026.
Both successful in their own rights, with Lyles the most famous, the American speedster is the reigning Olympic 100m champion and an eight-time world champion.
At the just concluded Tokyo 2025 World Championships, Lyles blazed to the 100m bronze medal and won his fourth consecutive world title in the 200m, tying his record with Usain Bolt as the only men in history to achieve such a feat.
He remains the most controversial star in track and field, as his mannerisms, speech, and flamboyant personality have established him as the face of the sport.
Meanwhile, his fiancée is more reserved but also recognised in her rights as a two-time Olympian and relay medallist.
Even though the Jamaican queen has stepped back from track events after getting engaged to Lyles, she remains supportive of her partner and does not mind the backlash from her fellow countrymen due to the intense rivalry between the two nations.
By publicly declaring their faith, the couple has demonstrated the strength of their love and the Christian values on which they will build their family.
