‘No stone will be left unturned’ - NFF President vows that Super Eagles will make the World Cup

The Super Eagles of Nigeria gave themselves a chance for a World Cup ticket after defeating Benin Republic 4-0.

They will face Gabon in Morocco on November 13 for their CAF playoff for a chance at the World Cup.

A victory for the Super Eagles over Gabon's Panthers would set up a showdown on November 16 against the winner of the other semi-final between Cameroon and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Gusau confirmed that the NFF and the National Sports Commission (NSC) are collaborating closely to ensure the three-time African champions are fully prepared for their crucial match against Gabon. 

"Everything is being done by the NSC and the NFF to see that nothing is left to chance. No stone will be left unturned," Gusau stated in an interview with NFF media. 

"That special spirit that saw the team rise to the occasion and score the four goals they actually needed against the Bénin Republic on the final day of the qualifiers will propel the team to victory in the play-offs."

The NFF boss also revealed details about the team's preparations, highlighting the players' motivation to compete on the world's biggest stage.

"The camp will open in Rabat, Morocco, on Sunday, 9th November," he explained. "We are speaking to the players already and everyone is on the same page. 

“Every preparation needed to see the team soar to victory will be made, and I believe the players are additionally motivated by that keen desire of every professional footballer to feature at the FIFA World Cup finals."
