‘No midfielder can give what Caicedo gives’ - Mikel Obi claims Chelsea star is a complete footballer

The Blues secured a narrow 2-1 victory over last season's league winners Liverpool last Saturday in the Premier League.

Caicedo was in top form in the game and put his team ahead in the first half with a thunderous strike from outside the box.

Cody Gakpo levelled the score for Liverpool in the second half, but in the 95th minute, Willian Estevao sealed all three points for the Blues.

Caicedo's commanding performance particularly impressed the former Nigerian international. Speaking on the Obi One Podcast, Mikel obi expressed his admiration for the Ecuadorian midfielder.

"There is no midfield player right now that can give everything that Caicedo gives Chelsea," the Champions League winner stated. 

"He's absolutely magnificent. Breaking up plays, setting up plays, he's first to everything, aggressive, and he's a leader as well. He's a complete football player."

Mikel also highlighted Caicedo's growing offensive contributions, adding, "He's chipping in now with goals, taking shots from outside the box. He's worth every penny we paid for him."

The Blues go into the international break, five points behind the league leaders, Arsenal and four points behind Liverpool.
