‘No chop am’ - Former Barcelona forward Asisat Oshoala mocks Chelsea after defeat to Man United

Former Barcelona and Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala has taken a playful jab at Chelsea after their recent loss to Manchester United, sparking a flurry of reactions from football fans on social media. 

The Nigerian forward, who is a self-proclaimed Manchester United supporter, posted a cryptic message on her official social media account, X (formerly Twitter), that quickly gained traction.

The Blues were at the end of a 2-1 loss on Saturday evening to Ruben Amorim’s Red Devils, a clash that saw both teams finish with ten men each after red cards to Rovert Sanchez and Casemiro.

Following the significant Premier League defeat for Chelsea, Oshoala, currently playing and on fire for Saudi club Al-Hilal, posted: "No chop am, na world champion...." 

The phrase, which is a Nigerian parlance, is a subtle but clear dig, referencing Chelsea's status as the reigning FIFA Club World Cup winners, a title they won in the men's game.
