N'Golo Kante: Surprise Premier League club in advanced talks to sign ex-Chelsea star
West Ham are reportedly in negotiations to sign former Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante from Al-Ittihad.
The 33-year-old, who played for France at Euro 2024, is open to returning to London, and a deal worth around £20m could be struck.
Kante's Impressive History
Kante has a proven track record in England, having spent eight years as a key player in Leicester City's Premier League-winning team in 2016 and repeated the feat with Chelsea the following season.
During his time at Stamford Bridge, he also won the Champions League, FA Cup, and Europa League. Kanté was named Premier League and PFA Player of the Year in 2016-17.
West Ham's Strong Interest in Kante
West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui is a long-term admirer of Kante's and believes he would be a significant upgrade to the team's midfield.
The Hammers are eager to sign a defensive midfielder after Kalvin Phillips' loan spell from Manchester City last season did not lead to a permanent deal.
Kante's experience and skill would make him an excellent addition to the team.
