NFL: Dallas Cowboys trade All-Pro edge Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers
The move brings a dramatic end to a protracted contract dispute between Parsons and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
In exchange for the 26-year-old, the Packers are sending two first-round picks (in 2026 and 2027) and veteran defensive tackle Kenny Clark to Dallas.

As part of the trade, Parsons and the Packers have agreed to a new four-year, $188 million contract, which includes $136 million in guaranteed money, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.
Parsons had publicly requested a trade earlier in the offseason after contract negotiations stalled, largely due to a disagreement over involving his agent. In a statement on social media, Parsons expressed his sadness about the move, but said "not everything was in my control."
For the Packers, this is a major "all-in" move for a team with Super Bowl aspirations, adding a generational talent to their defense.
For the Cowboys, the trade is a monumental gamble, with the franchise betting that future draft capital and Clark's run-stopping ability will outweigh the loss of their best player.
