The exact figures haven't been disclosed, but Fabrizio Romano suggests the offer was in the region of £120 million plus add-ons, a sum Newcastle are unwilling to accept until they secure a replacement.

Prior reports indicated informal contact between the two clubs, with Liverpool expressing interest in a deal worth around £120 million.

Newcastle are reportedly attempting to persuade Isak to sign a new contract that would include a release clause for next summer. However, the Swede is determined to leave for Liverpool this transfer window.

Isak has reportedly agreed terms with Liverpool and has been training at his former club Real Sociedad's facilities since yesterday.

Liverpool are expected to return with an improved offer soon. Newcastle are reportedly holding out for £150 million for their star striker.
