Never say never — Arsenal legend tips Liverpool to become Invincible
Legendary Arsenal defender Sol Campbell tipped Arne Slot's Liverpool as likely Invincibles, citing their enviable squad strength.
The Reds have been aggressive and ambitious in the summer transfer window, acquiring some of the most coveted talents in the market, and are close to signing more.
The talent options at Arne Slot’s disposal are mouthwatering, and Campbell believes they are good enough to brave an entire Premier League season without sustaining defeat.
What Campbell said
The former England international knows first-hand what it means to be an Invincible, as he was part of the Arsenal squad that went unvanquished in the 2003/04 season.
Asked whether he believes Liverpool can achieve a similar feat. "Never say never,” Campbell said. “It’s very, very hard, but I think it’s doable. If you look at the talent in that Liverpool squad now, they’d be the most likely for me to go on to be the next Invincibles."
Liverpool set a new club transfer record with the £115 million signing of Florian Wirtz. They followed it with the signing of Hugo Ekitike for £80 million and are now in talks to sign Alexander Isak.
