Never in doubt - NWSL club Houston Dash celebrates Michelle Alozie

Houston Dash have proudly celebrated their Nigerian star, Michelle Alozie, after she was named in the CAF Women's Best XI of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

Alozie played a key role in helping the Super Falcons win their record 10th WAFCON title.

Four Nigerian stars earned spots in the CAF best XI for their outstanding performances during the competition.

The captain Rasheedat Ajibade led by example, was crowned Best Player of the Tournament. Michelle Alozie, Esther Okoronkwo who emerged as a breakout star, joined Chiamaka Nnadozie in the CAF best XI.

These four players played a crucial role in Nigeria's success in the tournament.

The American-based NWSL club took to social media to share the news, writing, “Never in doubt ✨ @alozieee has been named to the @CAFwomen Best XI of the Tournament 🇳🇬.”

Her decisive goal in Nigeria's 2-1 victory against South Africa in the semifinal booked the Super Falcons a place in the final.

Her inclusion in the Team of the Tournament reflected her individual brilliance during the competition.
