Napoli president not ready to let Victor Osimhen leave
Napoli forward Victor Osimhen has been the subject of transfer speculation this summer after an impressive season at the club.
The Super Eagles forward was the Serie A highest goalscorer last season with a total of 26 goals and four assists.
Only four players had more goals scored in the top five European leagues than the Nigerian striker: Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane, and Alexandre Lacazette.
His performance last season has made the club president speak on his transfer saying he will Osimhen will be at the club next season “For sure”.
Napoli president insist on Osimhen stay
De Laurentiis was interviewed today and made a statement about Osimhen saying the striker will still wear the Napoli jersey come next season.
Speaking in an interview as reported by Romano Fabrizio on Twitter, Laurentiis said, “We will see Victor Osimhen wearing our shirt next season, that’s for sure.
Osimhen has been linked to several clubs in Europe this summer, with the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester all monitoring his situation.
However, despite the transfer speculations, Laurentiis still believes the Nigerian will remain at the club next season.
Osimhen will leave if a decent offer arrives
De Laurentiis also said that only a decent offer will let Napoli sell Osimhen and the club will find another top talent to replace him.
Still speaking, he said, “Then if a ‘more than indecent' proposal arrives, we will move on and find another top talent as we did with Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen”.
Napoli wants to keep Osimhen for next season and will need a big offer to convince the club to let him leave.
However, if he is to leave the club, Napoli are ready to move on and find other top talents to replace him at the club.
